Are you using the personal touch? by Robert Nixon
So you have your website going, you are doing what you need to do in order to have it seen by others on the internet.
It is being seen and you are getting responses but your sales are still not where you want them to be.
Do you have a plan that to convert all your 'Free' sign ups or responses to your lead capture forms into spending money with you?
You have sent them an e-mail or two but have gotten nothing in return?
The personal touch is what will make the difference between a prospect staying a prospect or becoming a client of yours.
Making a simple phone call will make you money. ( You did put a place for the phone number on the form and made it a 'required' field, didn't you? )
This does not make you a 'telemarketer', you are simply following up with someone that has willingly shown an interest in your business.
When you call them, be professional, stay calm and NEVER be pushy.
Sure, you won't get everyone you speak with to sign up, but a ratio of one out of three will make you some very decent income in a very short time.
Here is a sample of part of what I use:
Hello, I am _____________ and calling you in response to your filling out a form on my website requesting more information.
I can answer any questions you may have and you do not have to purchase anything at this time.
Is this a good time or should I call you back?
( If it is NOT a good time, make an appointment ).
Would you like my phone number, so you can contact me instead?
( If they are sounding unsure ):
Or should I send you an e-mail?
( If they opt for this, tell them what the 'subject' of the e-mail will be, so they don't delete it)
IF it is a good time, then tell them about you and your products, answer their questions.
Have them write down your url and ask them to come back to it when they are ready, or if they want to go there now with you on the line where you may assist them thru the process.
BEFORE you hang up, you may want to ask them the following:
You seem to like my product, would you be interested in making some additional income ?
1. Have you seriously considered looking at a business you can work from home or you have casually thought about it on occasion ?
2. If I can show you a business that meets your needs how soon do you see yourself getting started?
Then, if the prospect answers in an affirmative manner, you ask them the following:
1. We have a system of that allows people to start PART-TIME. To make any significant money you would need to invest about 10 hours a week. DO you see that being a problem?
2. This is not a business where you have to do any aggressive selling. However, where we are working with people...do you enjoy working with people?
3. ____,Our FREE, personalized training & coaching program will give you every advantage possible to be successful in your business. Are you good at following instructions?
4. Anytime you are looking to start a business you have a start up cost or initial investment. With (your company name), to get started properly the investment is a minimum of $00.00.
If everything else meets your needs does that fit your budget?
5. (their name), what qualifications do you have that you think would help you be successful running your own business working from home?
Well based on what I'm hearing _____,you sound like the kind of person that will be a good fit on our team.
I am not 100% sure so what I would like to do is give you a good overview about the company, our service, how your get paid and how I would support you.
If either you or I feel this is not a good fit, I will be the first person to suggest we not go any further. Does that work for you?
NOTE; NOW YOU WAIT AND SAY NOTHING, LET THEM MAKE THE DECISION BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER.
You do not have to follow this script, it is a sample , part of a plan to assist me with increasing my sales and only a part of the actual script I use.
My plan is to be retired with in ten years. Using what is called residual income, my business will continue to earn me income I can use during my retirement.
The only way to do this is by showing and training others to do the same. Their success is my success. People helping people is what it is all about.
If they know I am working with and for them, they will do the same for me.
