LAUNCH Your Internet Business with A Single Step

By: Profitstation News and Offers

I used to live in Salinas, CA, just outside of Monterey. When we bought our first house in Salinas, believe it or not, there was a Redwood tree in the back yard that appeared to be about 30 or 40 years old. The previous owner "topped" it every few years so that it was only about 50 feet high. The base of the trunk, however, was huge-- almost five feet in diameter at ground level. The canopy of this tree shrouded my entire back yard and resulted in almost complete darkness just about all day--the perfect environment for snails, slugs, insects and other creatures that did not like the light.

In order to bring light into our back yard, my tasking was to cut the redwood down and get rid of it. For weeks, I procrastinated. I would just go outside into the back yard (bring my flashlight if it was cloudy or overcast) get rid of a few snails, and crane my neck up to look at this behemoth that I was eventually planning to extract. Honestly, I was not anxious to start…the job was so darn big and I did not really know HOW to begin and it was a little scary. After all, I also did not want to crush the house that I had just purchased by cutting this monster down.

After some rather significant prompting from my wife, I finally started. I could not just have a go at this thing with an ax and expect to survive, so here is what I did. I got a ladder and a good hand-held tree saw and cut off the lowest branch that I could reach. It came falling down (the branch was about 20 feet long and 10 inches in diameter). I repeated that process all around the trunk and then spent the rest of the day disposing of the green debris and stacking the now cut branches into a nice stack. When I cut down the lowest branches, I left about one foot of the branch sticking out from the trunk. The next day (or weekend) I used the lower branches as a "ladder" to reach the next level of branches and cut them down cleared the debris and continued. About four weeks later all of the branches were cut down and neatly disposed of and all that remained was this pyramid shaped monstrosity of a trunk left standing. I took the next step and cut down the trunk. It crashed down and took a ton of work to cut into firewood. After that was done, I went to work at extracting the stump.

As ugly and scary as the job appeared, I was able to take that single first step and turn it into a success. Building on that success, I took additional steps. It took me six months to completely remove that monster---stump and all. The invertebrates receded when attacked by the daily sunlight, and after three years, we had a lovely lawn in the back yard and at closing a few years later we had $18,000 worth of appreciated value in our pockets. As an added benefit to the hard work, I did not EVER have to buy firewood while I lived in Salinas! Starting the work was the most difficult part of the job; the rest was just hard work and perseverance.

To many of you, the Internet is also a dark and unknown environment. I agree! Just the complexity alone can be awfully scary. I have personal knowledge that slugs and a variety of other forms of nasty invertebrates densely populate the Internet---making it even more hazardous. Tossing a handful of salt in their path is ineffective, by the way. The strain of these particular creatures is unlike anything that you may have encountered before. I would NOT navigate this darkness without a guide, or better yet, a pioneer who has already paved the way. That is what I did on the Internet. I did not go it alone. Even today, the wholesome liaisons and partnerships that I formed created the very foundation of my business success. I have come across many a slug along the way and I have slipped on them and fallen down to the pavement more times than I care to recall.

Many of you are scared or uncertain when you think about taking that first step by establishing a business presence on the Internet. You worry about spending money with people you have not met. I do not blame you. I took that step nearly four years ago only but only after I was convinced that it was the right one.

I was not a qualified logger, lumberjack or tree surgeon when I tackled that tree in Salinas--I had no expert to call on to help me and I was too broke to hire a professional. My method was certainly not the safe one—but I had no choice at the time. I used a completely different approach when I launched ProfitStation at http://www.profitstation.com and then again when I launched my other domains at http://www.luckylady-lotto.com http://www.profitstation-isp.com http://www.all-prizes.com and finally when I entered into a partnership at http://www.yourlottosite.com I made sure that I had surrounded myself with experts in whom I could trust.

Although I may not be considered an Internet expert…If you are just starting out, I am nearly four years ahead of you. I have nearly four years of experience at navigating through the slugs and pitfalls of launching an Internet business. I would suggest that without help from someone who has actually done it, your chances for success will be dramatically reduced. And if you just jump in there without looking, you will land on the slugs, fall and break your rear end.

I am far from expert--but I HAVE done it (and only part time) and I can take you carefully through the steps. I cannot guarantee that you will not slip on the slugs or that you even have the stomach for it. I will give you the tools and the blueprint, and I will help you clear the branches so that at least you can see the hazards wriggling for cover on the sidewalk. It is up to you to avoid them.

The only thing left for you to do is decide if you WANT an Internet business presence or NOT. If you DO, grab your saw and let us go to work together. If you DO NOT want an Internet business presence, or are not willing to put in the often-dreary work associated with one…that is OK too. Just resign yourself to that fact and be comfortable with it and stop dreaming about owning your own business on the Internet.

If you are READY RIGHT NOW, I have a bright flashlight and I will take you by the hand and show you how to make it work. That tree in Salinas would not have fallen with only my wish to see it fall; tools and significant work were required to make that a success. I guarantee you that tools and a ton of work will be required on the Internet as well, but the work is exhilarating, exciting, and full of the promise of return. More than anything else, you will be working for yourself so that every calorie that you expend goes back into your pocket as real value. You do not get that when you are not the OWNER of the business.

No, the tools are NOT free. I had to buy the darn ladder and saw to get the job done. You can expect the same thing. I paid a lot more for my Internet tools because I was not as experienced as I am now. That is the first slug hazard that I will help you navigate around.

No, this is not some MLM program that I am trying to recruit you into. I want to help you launch YOUR business, NOT just make you a small part of mine. What you sell and how you operate will be left up to you. I would just like to help you build a solid foundation from which you can launch MULTITIUDES of different businesses…as I have done.
